Vivo has already confirmed that its flagship smartphone. Vivo X30 is launching in the next month with the Exynos 980 chipset and with 5G support in tow. The company has started sharing teasers for its X30 on Weibo, and they confirm some of its key features of this device.
We got our official look at the Vivo X30 in the teaser video. It shows off the smartphone from almost every possible angle, giving us a good idea about the X30. The teaser also confirms that Vivo X30 will sport a punch-hole camera and a quad-camera setup on the rear end. Rumors also suggest the device will be a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
One of the notable things you will notice right away is that the Vivo X30’s back panel is similar to the Huawei P30 Pro. Both its camera setup and gradient design are almost identical.
And well, it’s not just the camera setup and the gradient design. Vivo has shared several other X30 teasers on Weibo, and they reveal that the rectangular camera you see next to the triple vertical cameras is a periscope camera (just above the LED). It’s nearly identical to the one on the Huawei P30 Pro. But the camera onboard here will be capable of a digital zoom of 60x. The company labeled it as the “60x Super Zoom” feature by Vivo. Moreover, I’m much more interested in the 5x optical and 10x hybrid zoom performance.
The teaser video further adds that the periscope camera on the device supports the 16mm – 123mm focal length range and an aperture between f/1.8 and f/3.0. Apart from the periscope-camera, Vivo X30 5G is expected to feature a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera setup, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The device is inbuilt with Exynos 980 processor, which runs the show though it’ll be integrated with hardware that brings dual-mode 5G support. The Non-Standalone (NSA) and SA (Standalone) network support in tow. We are still short on lots of details. If rumors are to be believed, the Vivo X30 should arrive at a starting price of around 3,198 yuan (Rs. 32,000) in China in a couple of weeks. So, stay tuned for more information.
