WhatsApp has been in a buzz with the two new upcoming features it is currently working on. Soon, Whatsapp Users could get self-destructing messages and dark mode. These features are now in development on WhatsApp beta.
WhatsApp is pretty late with new features like self-destructing messages, and dark mode is already available on several apps. Popular messaging apps like Telegram, Facebook, and Facebook Messanger already have these new self-destructing messages security features. And for dark theme mode, this feature has been all around on several apps like Twitter and YouTube now. Instagram also enabled the dark theme mode on its app.

Self-destructing messages/photos
This feature will enable messages to disappear from chats after a set interval of time automatically. Currently, this is available for group chats, WhatsApp users can easily choose which messages to disappear after a set number of intervals such as 5 seconds, 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days, or 30 days. Once this is enabled, all messages in that will self-destruct after the scheduled time. Unlike ‘Delete for Everyone,’ and for your concern, this feature won’t leave any traces of messages deleted in the groups or chat.
Dark mode (WABetaInfo)
News about WhatsApp dark mode has been going haywire since last year. What started as a rumor and eventually showed up in some of the beta updates of WhatsApp. A recent new update shows it has made more developments in dark mode. As seen by “WABetaInfo,” WhatsApp dark mode shows a ‘blue night’ color background. Text color is, however, still not optimized for the dark mode.
WhatsApp will give its users the choice to switch from the light theme to a dark theme. Users can also choose the system default, which will automatically change according to the phone’s dark theme or light theme.
