Punch hole camera displays have become a trend these days. From Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to Motorola One, the trend of a punch-hole camera is catching the eye of the users. Now, the latest leaks about the Vivo, the company has taken this trend a step further.
A report from GizChina, the patent suggests three possible designs of the Vivo phone. In all these three design suggestions, there are four cameras present at different positions. The first design, the company would place the punch-hole camera in each of the four corners of the device’s display.
In the second design, the cameras are placed to the upper half and are in groups of two with spaces between the sensor. All four cameras are placed on the top left and right, i.e., two on the right side and two on the left side.
In the third design, the company would place two punch-hole cameras on the two ends similar to the other design. But without any cutout.
The rear design of this Vivo patents also reveals the device will feature a triple rear camera setup.
As of now, there is no information (data) available about these four cameras. Vivo’s new camera design looks interesting, but it also raises a couple of questions. First, do we need to have four selfie cameras?
It is worth noting that Vivo brought the first smartphone with dual pop-up selfie cameras. Vivo is well known for playing around with camera setups.
However, do not that this is just a patent and might not even be featured in any smartphone at all. We’ll have to wait to see if Vivo brings any of these patented designs to any of their smartphones in the future.
